After most of us have enjoyed a few days of holiday, now that we are back to the reality of our lives, we have almost forgotten that these are the few days of a new year. So what better way to welcome it than having loads of Fun in Porto in January 2015?

Christmas celebrations in Portugal officially end on January 6th with the national Dia de Reis, the last occasion this season to taste gorgeous “King’s cake”.
But even if the winter holidays are over, Porto still celebrates with the Festival of “Janeiras” (which are New Year Carols). Between the 2nd and the 23rd of January 2015, the Uniao das Freguesias de Aldoar, Foz do Douro e Nevogilde aims at promoting this priceless national heritage. Carol concerts will be held in Foz do Douro at the Church of S. Joao Baptista, in the Church of S. Miguel de Nevogilde and in the Cristo Rei Church, starting with 9:30 PM.
